How USATestprep Developed Its Virginia: SOL Review
Virginia Standards of Learning (VASOL) End-of-Course
Beginning with the 2004 graduating class, all public High School students in the state of Virginia are required by the Department of Education (DOE) to take and pass comprehensive End-of-Course tests in Algebra I, Algebra II, English (reading and writing), Geometry, Biology, Earth Science, Chemistry, World History to 1500, World History from 1500 to the Present, Virginia and US History, and World Geography. These tests are given at the completion of each course, regardless of when the student takes that course. The content of these tests is based on material students should be exposed to by the end of each class and tests are aligned to the most current SOLs. If students do not pass each of these tests, they have three retake opportunities each year before completing 12th grade. Accommodations for students with disabilities are available. Modified and special diplomas are also available for these students.
USATestprep, Inc. has carefully researched all of the standards set forth in the Virginia Standards of Learning for each course and has developed questions and answers based on these standards. There is no relationship (real or implied) between the Virginia Department of Education and USATestprep, Inc. It is our intent that the content of our web page will closely match the test-taking experience. However, there is no guarantee of content overlap as every year the DOE makes new tests, and every year the USATestprep, Inc. library of questions grows. It is simply our desire that through your experiences on this website, you may become more comfortable with the content and gain the knowledge necessary to successfully complete the VASOLs.
